Lahore, In a strategic move to enhance its academic standing, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Khalid Mahmood has called upon the institution’s alumni to contribute actively towards improving its ranking and securing a better future for current students. This appeal was made during a meeting with departmental focal persons, organized by the Punjab University Alumni Office (PUAO) at the Center for South Asian Studies.
According to University of The Punjab, the gathering saw the participation of PUAO Director Prof Dr. Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry, along with directors and focal persons from various departments. VC Dr. Khalid Mahmood emphasized the significant achievements of Punjab University’s alumni, who have made notable contributions both nationally and internationally. He urged all departments to collaborate closely for the benefit of both past and present students, highlighting the crucial role alumni play in enhancing the university’s image, strength, and alignment with industry needs.
Dr. Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry reinforced the importance of maintaining a strong connection with alumni, pointing out that the world’s leading universities prioritize such relationships. He advocated for a robust alumni association to uphold Punjab University’s leadership position and stressed the need for a platform to recognize and valorize the contributions of its alumni.
