Lahore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leaders Jamshed Iqbal Cheema and Musrat Jamshed Cheema, along with PTI founder sisters Uzma Khan and Aleema Khan, former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, and Azam Swati, met during their appearance at the Special Anti-Terrorism Court. The gathering focused on the country’s political dynamics and the implications of recent government actions on farmers and freedom of speech.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the leaders exchanged concerns about their ongoing legal battles and the broader issues affecting the nation. Jamshed Iqbal Cheema highlighted the severe impact of the government’s failure to buy wheat from local farmers, forecasting significant negative effects in the future due to this oversight. Musrat Jamshed Cheema criticized the rapid passing of the Defamation Bill, accusing the Punjab government of suppressing diverse voices from the opposition, media, and civil society.
