Islamabad, Secretary Information of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Faisal Karim Kundi, criticized former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his reluctance to engage in discussions with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, attributing it to Sharif’s lack of a future vision for the country. Kundi condemned Sharif’s past actions, including the mass termination of young workers and the privatization of national industries, which he claimed led to significant economic and social distress for Pakistani citizens.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Kundi highlighted the adverse impacts of Nawaz Sharif’s policies during his terms in office, particularly the destruction of Pakistan Steel Mills and the subsequent financial instability faced by its employees. Kundi also expressed concern over Sharif’s potential return to power, predicting that Ishaq Dar would be appointed as finance minister, a decision he believes would further exacerbate the country’s economic challenges due to Dar’s “poor policies.”
The PPP’s statement underscores a deep-seated skepticism towards Nawaz Sharif’s ability to govern effectively, questioning his commitment to the welfare of the Pakistani people and criticizing his economic management skills. This critique comes amid ongoing political debates in Pakistan, with the PPP positioning itself as an advocate for the rights and prosperity of the nation’s workforce and economy.
