People’s Party Vows to Fulfill Election Promises in Karachi, Challenges Armed Groups

Karachi, The People’s Party Karachi Division’s Deputy Secretary Information and Convener for District East, Asif Khan, asserted that the People’s Party stands as the sole political entity that has lived up to its electoral promises to the residents of Karachi. Khan highlighted the significant challenge posed by armed factions that purportedly manipulated the election outcomes on February 8, underscoring the threat to Karachi’s hard-won peace. These remarks were made during a gathering at the liaison office of NA-235, attended by delegations, party leaders, and workers who discussed constituency issues and potential resolutions.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Khan expressed optimism about the reinitiation of development projects in Karachi and across Sindh, following the anticipated formation of a new government under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He praised the efforts of Murad Ali Shah, the incumbent Chief Minister, for his proactive approach towards Karachi’s development. Khan elaborated on the upcoming initiatives aimed at transforming Karachi into a city of the Kuroshanis, signifying progress and enlightenment.

Khan emphasized the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to bring those who disrupted the electoral process on February 8 to justice, indicating a firm stance against any attempt to destabilize Karachi’s order. He reiterated the People’s Party’s commitment to countering any schemes aimed at seizing control of Karachi through force. Furthermore, Khan outlined plans to enhance the party’s organizational structure down to the UC level in Karachi, aiming to address grassroots issues effectively.
