PCJCCI Hosts Chinese New Year Celebration with Punjab University Delegation

Lahore, The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) celebrated the Chinese New Year with a special event at Faletties Hotel in Lahore, attended by a diverse group of dignitaries, including academic and business leaders.

According to University of The Punjab, the occasion was graced by notable figures such as Mr. Baligh ur Rehman, Governor of Punjab, the Chinese Consul General, and various political, social, and business personalities. A highlight of the event was the participation of a delegation from Punjab University, comprising teachers and students, led by Professor Dr. Shafiq ur Rahman, Host Director of the Confucius Institute.

The students of the Confucius Institute at Punjab University added to the event’s cultural richness by performing Chinese songs. These performances were not just entertaining but also served as a symbol of the cultural exchange between Pakistan and China.

Furthermore, Dr. Shafiq ur Rahman, in his capacity as the Host Director of the Confucius Institute, held a significant meeting with the President of PCJCCI, discussing important matters likely pertaining to educational and cultural collaboration.
