Lahore, Following their victory in the T20 tri-series final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan Women A is scheduled to play two T20 matches against Thailand Women Emerging on November 10 and 11 at the same venue. Both matches, starting at 1100 PKT following the toss at 1030 PKT, will be live-streamed on the PCB’s YouTube channel.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan Women A maintained an undefeated record in the tri-series, securing wins against Thailand Emerging and West Indies Women A. Thailand Women Emerging, however, faced defeats in both their matches during the series.
Shawaal Zulfiqar, the opening batter for Pakistan, emerged as the player of the tri-series, leading the batting with 106 runs in three games, including a standout unbeaten half-century. Wicketkeeper-batter Sidra Nawaz also contributed significantly with an undefeated half-century against West Indies Women A in the first game of the series.
All-rounder Omaima Sohail, along with skipper Rameen Shamim, led the bowling attack, each taking five wickets in three matches. Thailand Women Emerging captain Thipatcha Putthawong showcased her skills with four wickets in two matches. Pakistani pacers Humna Bilal and left-arm spinners Anosha Nasir and Saima Malik also made notable contributions.
Rameen Shamim expressed confidence ahead of the matches against Thailand, citing the tri-series win as a morale booster for the team. She emphasized the team’s aim to continue their unbeaten streak with strong performances from their well-rounded lineup.
Thipatcha Putthawong, the captain of Thailand Women Emerging, acknowledged the lessons learned from previous defeats and expressed determination to bounce back in the upcoming matches against Pakistan.
