Pakistan People’s Party Spokesperson Criticizes PTI’s Intra-Party Election, Stresses on Fair Elections

Islamabad, Faisal Karim Kundi, the spokesperson for the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), during a recent press conference, criticized the alleged rigging in PTI’s intra-party election and called for the Election Commission’s intervention. He questioned the legitimacy of a fugitive person becoming an official of a party and expressed full confidence in both the Election Commission and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to ensure fair and transparent elections.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Kundi emphasized the party’s commitment to providing jobs and programs like BISP, urging people to vote for PPP in the upcoming elections. He announced that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Chairman of PPP, would address meetings and party worker conventions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa starting from December 7. He highlighted PPP’s growing influence in Balochistan, mentioning the accession of three former MPs and numerous others eager to contest elections on PPP tickets.

Kundi also touched upon the recent local government re-elections, criticizing them as a repetition of the process from 2018. He encouraged PPP supporters and expressed confidence in the party’s ability to win elections. Furthermore, he recognized the contributions of Gohar Khan to the party, signaling the start of PPP’s election campaign following the announcement of the election schedule on February 8.

The spokesperson also noted the potential for post-election discussions with other parties within the parliament, indicating PPP’s openness to political coordination. Kundi concluded by expressing concerns over the welfare of PIA employees, highlighting the party’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights and interests.
