Pakistan Peace Council Head Calls for Support to Gaza Amid Israeli Actions

Karachi, Tariq Mahmood Madani, the head of the Pakistan Peace Council, has called for a stronger response from Muslim rulers to the situation in Gaza, criticizing the international community’s silence on what he describes as the brutality of the Israeli army. Madani made these remarks during a discussion with social leader Aslam Khan Farooqi at the Central Peace Secretariat in Sher Shah, highlighting the severe impact of Israeli actions on Gaza, including the bombing of medical centers, refugee camps, and transportation infrastructure.

According to PAKISTAN AMN COUNCIL, the ongoing conflict in Gaza has reached a critical point, with the Israeli army’s actions causing widespread destruction and hardship for the local population. He emphasized the urgent need for the Muslim community worldwide to support the “oppressed Muslims of Gaza.” Madani’s call to action reflects a sentiment of solidarity among the Muslim community and a plea for more decisive action from Muslim leaders globally.

During the same meeting, Aslam Khan Farooqi expressed the readiness of the Pakistani people to fight for the freedom of Gaza and their opposition to the actions of Israel. Farooqi criticized the Pakistani government for what he termed as its lack of sufficient response to the situation, stating that the people of Pakistan stand with the Muslims of Gaza and will not remain silent on the issue. He called for more assertive action against what he referred to as “Zionist Israel.”

The statements by Madani and Farooqi underscore the growing concern and solidarity within Pakistan regarding the plight of Gaza’s residents. They also reflect a broader call within parts of the Muslim community for greater involvement and support from Muslim leaders in addressing the ongoing conflict in the region.
