Nearly 7 in 10 (67%) Pakistanis report a fall in their household savings as compared to the past 6 months: Consumer Confidence Index Q3 2021 by Gallup Pakistan and Dun and Bradstreet

Islamabad, December 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): According to a Consumer Confidence Index survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, nearly 7 in 10 (67%) Pakistanis report a fall in their household savings as compared to the past 6 months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “In your opinion, compared to the last six months, has your household’s monthly savings increased, decreased or stayed the same?” In response to this question, 1% said ‘increased a lot’, 7% said ‘increased’, 24% said ‘no difference’, 41% said ‘decreased’ and 26% said ‘decreased a lot’. 1% did not know or provided no response.

Question: “In your opinion, compared to the last six months, has your household’s monthly savings increased, decreased or stayed the same?”
