Rawalpindi, In a solemn display of religious fervor, Rawalpindi marked Muzin Hussain Day, a tribute to the sacrifice of Hazrat Ali Akbar, the son of Imam Hussain (AS), and his unwavering devotion to Islam. The day, initiated by Quaid Millat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, witnessed gatherings and religious ceremonies dedicated to the memory of Prince Ali Akbar, peace be upon him, and the martyrs of Karbala.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the commemoration took place in Ali Hall, organized by the Islamia student body, where Allama Syed Qamar Haiderzidi highlighted the pivotal role of Hazrat Ali Akbar (A.S.) as the first martyr of Bani Hashim in Karbala. His sacrifice, emblematic of his profound love for martyrdom and righteousness, was remembered with deep reverence. Allama Haiderzidi recounted the poignant moment when Imam Hussain (a.s.) sent his son to martyrdom, invoking God as a witness to the resemblance between Ali Akbar and the Prophet Muhammad in both appearance and moral virtues.
The event underscored the significance of sacrifices in the establishment of nations and the preservation of religion. When Islam faced its darkest hour, Imam Hussain (AS) and his followers, including his beloved son Hazrat Ali Akbar, stood firm, offering their lives for the sake of their faith and principles. The legacy of Hazrat Ali Akbar, described as a beacon of courage inherited from his grandfather Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali Murtaza (peace be upon him), continues to inspire the faithful.
The celebrations, also held under the auspices of Anjuman Ghulam Prince Ali Akbar (A.S) in Imambargah Qadim, featured addresses by Allama Karamat Haidari among others, alongside Qaseedah recitations that honored the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Karbala. The gatherings concluded with prayers for the prosperity of the Islamic world, the security, and development of Pakistan, emphasizing the enduring impact of Hazrat Ali Akbar’s sacrifice on the collective memory of the Muslim Ummah.
