Lahore, The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) alumni from the UAE gathered in Dubai for a reunion event on April 27, 2024. Hosted by the UAE Alumni Chapter, the event celebrated the strong community ties among LUMS graduates and featured nearly 150 alumni and their families.

According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, distinguished guests including H.E. Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the Pakistan Ambassador to UAE, and Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor of LUMS, attended the event. The reunion was highlighted by a series of networking activities, awards presentations, and speeches that emphasized the ongoing success and connectivity of the LUMS alumni network.

The event recognized the contributions of outgoing chapter board members, including Mr. Shahzad Bashir, the former president of the UAE Chapter. New board members were introduced, including Mr. Abeer Hamid as the new president, who discussed future plans to support alumni in the UAE.

Dr. Cheema and Mr. Tirmizi both spoke on the impact of LUMS graduates globally and the university’s commitment to educational excellence and community service. The reunion concluded with a speed networking session and a musical performance, underscoring the vibrant and engaged spirit of the LUMS alumni community.
