Liaqat Baloch Stresses Importance of Electing Competent Leadership in 2024 Elections

Karachi, Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Amir and Chairman of the Central Election Cell of Jamaat-e-Islami, emphasized the critical importance of electing a qualified, talented, and honest leadership in the upcoming 2024 elections. This statement came as part of his addresses during election worker conventions in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi as well as at the Ittehad-i-Umm Jajaheti Palestine Conference and meetings in NA-123 and NA-128 National Assembly constituencies.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Baloch underscored the 2024 elections as a significant test for voters to choose effective leadership. He reflected on past elections, pointing out their transparency, and indicated readiness for the transparency of the upcoming elections. Baloch warned that rigged elections have previously brought crises to the country and could again be detrimental to the political democratic process and national security if they are biased.

Jamaat-e-Islami has resolved to continue advocating for the protection of the constitution, democracy, and impartial elections, confirming its full participation in the 2024 elections. The party has distinguished itself by presenting its manifesto through a democratic consultation process involving National and Provincial Assembly candidates, constituency workers, and district, provincial, and central parliamentary boards. Baloch presented Jamaat-e-Islami as the voters’ only option for a stable, political democratic constitutional system, and for making Pakistan Islamic, prosperous, stable, and free of corruption.

In a meeting with election cell officials in Mansurah, Baloch urged Jamaat-e-Islami candidates to campaign vigorously, expressing hope that people would support the party in establishing an Islamic welfare state. He was joined by Secretary Election Commission Dr. Farid Paracha, Hafiz Saifur Rahman, and others.

Updates on the election campaign were also provided. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and Raja Arif Sultan, from Karachi’s constituency, reported that all nomination papers for national and provincial constituencies in Karachi had been collected. Additionally, Ziauddin Ansari and Amir Nisar Khan from the Lahore constituency informed that candidates in 14 national and 30 provincial constituencies in Lahore have submitted their nomination papers. Jamaat-e-Islami’s nationwide election campaign, involving nominees, women, youth, and workers, is actively promoting the party’s manifesto and vision.

Baloch concluded by asserting that Jamaat-e-Islami is the sole solution to the country’s crises, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to lead Pakistan away from inefficient leadership and an obsolete system, relying on the trust of the voters.
