Lahore Journal of Economics Releases New Volume Featuring Global and Local Economic Analyses

LAHORE: The Lahore Journal of Economics has published Volume 30, No. 2, covering the period from July to December 2025. The issue includes five articles addressing a range of economic topics, including political dynasties in Pakistan, remittance trends from Saudi Arabia, global financial development, environmental sustainability in hospitality, and resource availability in Pakistan.

According to Lahore School of Economics, the latest volume presents a study by Faiz Ur Rehman and Noman Ahmad on the influence of political dynasties on service delivery in rural health clinics in Punjab, Pakistan. Another article by Muhammad Omer evaluates the effects of withdrawing Telegraphic Transfer charge reimbursements on remittances from Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Ayesha Rehman, Muhammad Tariq Majeed, and Tania Luni explore the relationship between financial development and CO2 emissions, focusing on institutional quality across continents.

Further contributions include a global review by Kashaf Waseem on the economic impacts of environmental sustainability practices in the hospitality sector, highlighting policy implications for Pakistan. The volume also features research by Nimra Hamayun, Hafiz Rizwan Ahmad, and Muhammad Munawar on the availability of resources, using selected Consumer Price Index items in Pakistan as a case study.
