Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized a coaching clinic for 30 school children at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, featuring prominent national cricketers, as part of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools. The initiative, which aims to reinforce school cricket across Pakistan, has significantly expanded its reach from 39 to 100 districts and from 450 to 1400 schools within a year.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the coaching clinic was attended by national cricket stars Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Abrar Ahmed, and Shahnawaz Dahani, who imparted their expertise to the young participants. Fakhar Zaman provided insights into batting techniques, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahnawaz Dahani engaged with aspiring fast bowlers. Abrar Ahmed shared strategies with young spinners on adapting to various pitches and developing their skills.

The second edition of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools is set to commence in the third week of September and continue until December, involving a broader participation from educational institutions. The programme began in July with school cricket trials and training camps, underscoring PCB's commitment to integrating cricket into co-curricular activities nationwide.
