Karachi, The Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi District Central has initiated a vibrant Family Mela, drawing in a substantial crowd with a special focus on women and children. The festival, which started recently, is set to conclude on December 17 with a closing ceremony featuring Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Provincial Minister and President of the Arts Council, as the chief guest. The event showcases a fusion of cultural, literary, and entertainment elements, attracting over five thousand attendees on its first evening alone.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the Family Mela is open to the public from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm daily until its culmination on December 17. The festival boasts a lineup of prominent poets, writers, artists, and show business personalities from across the country, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to interact and take selfies with these celebrities. Apart from the main performances, the fair includes a variety of stalls and evening literary programs, such as mushairas, adding to the cultural richness of the event.
