Karachi, Kamran Akmal, the former Test wicketkeeper-batter and current member of the selection committee, is set to participate in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Level I Coaching Course. Scheduled from 11 to 14 December at the Bugti Stadium in Quetta, Akmal will be among the 27 attendees taking part in this initiative.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the four-day course aims to enhance the coaching skills of its participants. It will be led by Tutors Imran Abbas, Rahat Abbas, Taimur Azam, Amanullah Deepal, and Hussain Khosha, all of whom are associated with Balochistan’s Level 1 coaching program.
The course participants, including Akmal, will undergo comprehensive training in various aspects of coaching. This includes modules on communication, coaching philosophy, and planning and preparation. These skills are essential for nurturing and guiding the next generation of cricketers.
At the conclusion of the course, each participant will be assigned tasks to be completed within three months. Successful completion of these assignments will result in the awarding of Level 1 coaching certificates. This certification is part of the PCB’s broader strategy to develop a strong pool of qualified coaches to support the growth of cricket in Pakistan.
