BAHAWALPUR, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur marked World Polio Day with a seminar spearheaded by its Department of Social Work. The event, aimed at spreading awareness and knowledge about polio, saw participation from faculty members and students spanning multiple departments.

According to a news release by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, the Chairman of the Social Work Department, played a pivotal role in the event, presiding over the seminar’s proceedings. The gathering was not just limited to students and faculty of the Social Work Department. It also drew participation from the university’s Sociology and Anthropology Departments, underlining the interdisciplinary importance of public health awareness initiatives.
