IUB Collaborates with ECP, PILDAT, and UNDP to Spotlight Youth Participation in Electoral Process

BAHAWALPUR, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s (IUB) Department of Political Science has taken the initiative to emphasize the significance of youth engagement in Pakistan’s electoral process. The department, in conjunction with notable bodies including the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), PILDAT, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), held a panel discussion and a mock election exercise, focusing on the role of young voters.

According to a news release by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, the event sought to underscore the integral role of the youth in shaping the democratic trajectory of Pakistan. The collaborative venture between the university and three respected organizations emphasized the need to educate and mobilize young citizens to participate actively in electoral activities.

The mock election exercise provided participants with a hands-on experience of the voting process, reinforcing the significance of every single vote.
