Institute of Business Management Launches “Reveries of an Urban Dreamland” Podcast Series

Karachi, The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has unveiled a new podcast series titled “Reveries of an Urban Dreamland,” aimed at exploring innovative strategies for fostering human and non-human interactions to transform cities into sustainable ecosystems. The series, supported by Umbrellium and the British Council, features discussions with a mix of local and international architects, designers, scholars, and activists.

According to Institute of Business Management, the 9-part series is curated by Taqi Shaheen, with artistic direction by Usman Haque and design advisement by Ling Tan. Each episode delves into the projects developed during the artistic research residency, examining the legal, cultural, social, and political aspects of creating sustainable urban environments.

The series highlights various significant contributions, such as Arif Hasan’s critique on urban development’s impact on wildlife, and Noorjehan Bilgrami’s emphasis on educational tools that reconnect people with nature. It also addresses broader themes like ecological conservation and smart urban governance through discussions with figures like Mahera Omar and Hira Sheikh.
