Karachi: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) commemorated the one-year anniversary of Markaa-e-Haq by hosting an academic seminar titled "Information Warfare and Disinformation, Civilian Protection, and International Humanitarian Law." The event united academia, students, and distinguished speakers to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces and discuss modern conflict dimensions, including cyber warfare and disinformation.
According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, the seminar featured a keynote address by Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, who lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their response to Indian aggression, emphasizing the enhanced preparedness and strategic capability under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed. Dr. Sahrai highlighted Pakistan's commitment to peace and lawful conflict resolution, underscoring the importance of United Nations resolutions in addressing the longstanding Kashmir issue.
Dr. Erum Muzafar from the University of Karachi discussed the geopolitical shifts in South Asia, focusing on India's regional ambitions and their impact on stability, particularly in Kashmir. She pointed out the role of media warfare and the importance of resilience against disinformation.
Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto of SMIU emphasized the unity and strengthened global image brought about by Markaa-e-Haq. He praised the Armed Forces for their professionalism and valor against Indian aggression.
The event concluded with the vice-chancellor presenting souvenirs to guests and reaffirming Pakistan's dedication to peace and international law. The seminar is part of SMIU's week-long celebration highlighting the Armed Forces' role in defending national interests.
