Islamabad, Imam Kaaba Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Hameed, during his visit to Islamabad, commended the International Islamic University (IIUI) for its significant role in promoting Islamic teachings and values on an international scale. His visit underlines the deep, historical ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and the role of education in bridging divides.
According to the International Islamic University, Imam Kaaba expressed his sentiments in a meeting with Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi, with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf Said Al-Maliki and President of IIUI Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi also in attendance. He emphasized the mutual affection between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and lauded the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan’s Ministry of Education and IIUI. Imam Kaaba also appreciated IIUI for organizing a conference on the importance of human life in Sharia and law, where he was a special participant.
Dr. Al Hameed highlighted education as the key to resolving social issues and prejudices. He commended IIUI for providing quality education to students from over 30 countries, integrating Islamic teachings into its curriculum. The Imam praised IIUI’s contributions in the fields of Usulludin, Shariah, and Arabic and noted its significant international student body.
The Imam also conveyed the best wishes from His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Royal Crown Prince for the conference at IIUI. He recognized Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi’s efforts in offering superior higher education facilities to students from the Muslim world, in line with Islamic teachings.
Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi expressed gratitude for Imam Kaaba’s visit, emphasizing IIUI’s crucial role in advancing both religious and contemporary studies. He affirmed the Ministry of Education’s ongoing support for the university and its endeavors to spread messages of love through religious seminaries and public universities.
