IIUI’s Dawah Centre for Women Conducts Hajj Refresher Training Program for Master Trainers

Islamabad: The Dawah Centre for Women at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a one-day Hajj refresher training program for master trainers, preparing them for the upcoming Hajj in 2026. Sixty trainers participated in the session, which focused on updating their knowledge and skills related to the core aspects of Hajj practice and management.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the training was held at the H-10 campus, running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It concentrated on the pillars of Hajj, rules and regulations, and the practical conduct required to maintain the sanctity and discipline of the pilgrimage. The trainers received updated guidance on preparations, health and safety, crowd management, and their specific responsibilities in guiding pilgrims.

Dr. Faryal Umbreen, Incharge of the Dawah Centre for Women, emphasized the importance of preparing trainers for the realities of Hajj. "This refresher ensures that every master trainer leaves with not only a renewed understanding of rites and rules, but also practical tools to protect pilgrims' welfare and dignity throughout their journey," she said.

The sessions combined theological foundations with operational needs, including lectures and practical workshops. Trainers reviewed ritual steps, legal rulings, and simulated common challenges, such as managing large groups and responding to health incidents. The event also covered the latest governmental and Saudi guidelines for Hajj 2026 and communication techniques for diverse pilgrim groups.

Organizers highlighted the importance of discipline, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, noting that accurate and calm leadership by master trainers enhances the spiritual experience for pilgrims. Participants shared field experiences and best practices, fostering peer-learning opportunities that will continue through follow-up briefings and resource sharing.

The Dawah Centre for Women plans to hold additional preparatory events and distribute updated training materials to further support trainers. This initiative aligns with IIUI's mission to provide scholarly, practical, and ethically grounded religious education for public service.
