UOH Inaugurates NBP Digital Payment Portal, Marking a Key Step in Digital Transformation

Haripur: The University of Haripur has achieved a significant milestone in its digital transformation by inaugurating the National Bank of Pakistan's Digital Payment Portal. This move aligns with the Government of Pakistan's vision for a cashless economy and the directives from the Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Government-to-Person digital payments.

According to the University of Haripur, the formal inauguration took place at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat. The event was attended by key university officials, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, Treasurer Mr. Imran Muhammad, and Mr. Muhammad Nisar, Head of the Digital Transformation Cell. Representatives from the National Bank of Pakistan, including Assistant Vice President Mr. Sajid Gul Khan, also participated.

The newly launched NBP Digital Payment Portal, developed in collaboration with 1LINK and RAAST, aims to enhance efficiency and transparency in the university's financial operations by fully digitalizing its bank accounts. Vice Chancellor Rehman commended the joint efforts of the university administration and NBP, noting that the initiative marks a crucial step toward modernizing financial management and aligning with national digital governance reforms.
