Islamabad, July 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): A meeting of the committee constituted by the Worthy President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), to devise a strategy, guidelines and SOPs with regard to dealing of the students by the employees, was held here in the new campus. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, while it was also attended by the members that included Deans, important office holders, Incharges and relevant officers.

The committee, keeping in view the 15 days’ deadline for the preparation of report on the given mandate deliberated on core points and recommended that it should be making guidelines and later ensure implementation on overall outlook of offices, training of the officials of the offices who are dealing with the public, moreover, a proper mechanism for professional and communication training shall be devised. The committee, pursuing the priority students’ facilitation as per vision of Worthy President IIUI, agreed that initiatives for improvement in the behaviour of the officials and long term strategies to make employees more professional shall be devised.

The committee recommended that after the preparation of guidelines and SOPs the committee as per its mandate will conduct visits to monitor and ensure the implementation. The Chair devised several sub-committees with a 4-day deadline to come up with the guidelines as discussed and deliberated in the meeting according to given mandate. The chair also endorsed that the committee would suggest that the complaint boxes and complaint redressal system must be meaningfully active to address the issues of students.
