High Awareness of ‘Aashoob-e-Chashm’ Outbreak Among Pakistanis, Survey Reveals

Islamabad, A recent survey underscores that a significant majority of Pakistanis, 90% to be exact, are informed about the outbreak of the viral eye disease known as ‘Aashoob-e-Chashm’ or Pink Eye in the nation.

According to Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the research focused on obtaining the national sentiment regarding the rapid spread of this viral eye ailment. Participants from various regions, representing both adult men and women, were questioned on their knowledge of the ‘Aashoob-e-Chashm’ outbreak. To the query, “Have you heard/read anything about the rapidly spreading eye disease (Aashoob-e-Chashm/Conjunctivitis/Pink Eye) outbreak in Pakistan?”, 90% affirmed they were aware, while 9% responded in the negative. The remaining 1% were either unsure or refrained from providing an answer.

The results emphasize the high level of awareness among Pakistanis about pressing health issues, ensuring that the majority of the population is informed and can take necessary precautions against the disease.
