Karachi, Habib University’s Office of Career Services successfully hosted its sixth annual HU Career Connect on February 17, 2024, facilitating a critical bridge for students transitioning from academic life to professional careers. The event drew participation from over 120 leading organizations across a spectrum of industries, providing ample networking and career development opportunities for students and alumni.
According to Habib University, the event featured a ‘Walk-Through’ at Horizon, the university’s new collaborative learning space, during the ‘Opening Ceremony Exhibit.’ This session, titled ‘Unveiling Habib’s Intellectual Experience,’ allowed faculty and students to present Habib University’s unique interdisciplinary Humanities and Engineering programs to industry leaders. The Career Fair 2024 was not only an opportunity for networking but also fostered potential partnerships between academia and industry.
The job fair portion of the event included on-the-spot screening interviews, resume collection, and discussions on career prospects and hiring trends.
