Lahore, In a demonstration of ongoing commitment to educational support, Faysal Bank Ltd. contributed to the naming of a new discussion room at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on May 14, 2024. This contribution underscores the bank’s dedication to fostering academic environments that enrich student learning and discussion.

According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, the event was marked by the presence of notable figures from both Faysal Bank and LUMS. The delegation from Faysal Bank included Mr. Yousaf Hussain, President and CEO; Ms. Farah Asim, Head of Corporate Affairs; and Mr. Jaudat Hussain, Head of Retail Banking. LUMS was represented by its senior leadership including Syed Babar Ali, Founding Pro Chancellor; Mr. Shahid Hussain, Rector; Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor; and Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director of Advancement.

The partnership has grown over the years, notably through Faysal Bank’s support of LUMS’ National Outreach Programme (NOP), which assists talented and deserving students. During the ceremony, Mr. Yousaf Hussain expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership and presented a check to Syed Babar Ali, earmarked specifically for the discussion room located on the ground floor of the Academic Block at LUMS.

The event also featured a plaque unveiling ceremony to formally recognize Faysal Bank’s contribution. Syed Babar Ali shared his thoughts on the importance of philanthropy, emphasizing that giving extends beyond financial donations to include sharing knowledge and time. Dr. Ali Cheema thanked Faysal Bank for its steadfast support and commitment to education, highlighting the bank’s role in promoting a collaborative path towards excellence.
