Karachi, Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, chairperson of the Global Aafia Movement and a renowned neurophysician, has officially denied recent rumors regarding the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, confirming that she remains incarcerated in FMC Carswell, USA, under harsh conditions and with deteriorating health.

According to Aafia Movement, the misinformation about Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s release had spread rapidly, reflecting the global anticipation of her freedom. Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui reported that numerous calls had been received from concerned individuals seeking confirmation of these rumors. She clarified that these speculations were unfounded and that Aafia Siddiqui had recently been visited in prison by Tania, an assistant to her American attorney Clive Stafford Smith, confirming her continued imprisonment.

Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui also highlighted issues with the prison system, noting that financial assistance sent by the family for basic necessities had not reached Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. She urged the public to disregard these false rumors and warned that such misinformation could undermine ongoing efforts to secure Aafia Siddiqui’s release, potentially harming the family’s morale.
