Dow University Expands Laboratory Services in Karachi with New Branch


Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences has opened a new branch of Dow Labs in the Clifton area near Teen Talwar, aimed at providing standardized medical testing services closer to home for both affluent and low-income communities. The inauguration was led by Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Jahan Ara, with the presence of Director Commercial Muhammad Salim Chohan and local traders and residents.



According to Dow University of Health Sciences, the new facility is part of a broader initiative by the university to enhance healthcare accessibility and affordability across Karachi, as well as in interior Sindh and Balochistan. This opening marks the fourth branch in the Defense and Clifton areas, responding to local demands for more accessible health services.



The expansion reflects Dow University’s commitment to maintaining high-quality testing services without increasing costs, despite economic challenges. Muhammad Salim Chohan outlined future plans for the lab, including the opening of 10 new collection centers to further ease access to healthcare services for residents.
