University of Turbat Holds Crucial Board of Studies Meeting to Enhance Education Programs

Turbat, The University of Turbat (UoT) hosted its fourth Board of Studies (BoS) meeting for the Education Department on May 7, 2024, focusing on significant curriculum reforms and program enhancements.

According to University of Turbat, the meeting was chaired by Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, the Chairperson of the Education Department, and held in the university’s video conference room. The session saw the participation of distinguished expert members such as Dr. Fozia Ahmed Baloch, Chairperson of the Education Department at BUITEMS, Quetta, and Mr. Abid Hussain, District Officer Education at Gwadar. UoT faculty members including Ms. Mahnaz Aslam, Ms. Ruqia Mirwani, and Ms. Mahnaz Bashir also attended.

During the meeting, Mr. Ahmed expressed his appreciation for the ongoing support from Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor, which has significantly contributed to the department’s development and the university’s overall success. He highlighted the Education Department’s achievement of having the highest enrollment numbers within the university and outlined the session’s agenda, which focused on updating the B.Ed. 4-year program.

Key discussions at the meeting included implementing coding, introducing new courses, eliminating redundant ones, consolidating existing courses, and integrating blended learning options. These changes aim to modernize and improve the quality and relevance of the education provided, ensuring it meets current and future educational demands.

The board members unanimously praised the proactive efforts of the university’s faculty and administrative staff in driving rapid progress and fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence.
