Hattian Bala, Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Valley Syed Ashfaq Geelani visited the District Emergency Office of Rescue 1122, where he inspected the emergency response facilities and observed practical exercises by the rescue teams. Accompanied by SP District Jhelum Valley Sultan Awan, Geelani reviewed the operations and expressed satisfaction with the available resources.
According to Press Club Hattian Bala, the visit by the Deputy Commissioner included a briefing from Emergency Officer Khawaja Umar Rashid about the rescue services. Rescue teams demonstrated practical exercises in medical, fire, and disaster rescue scenarios. Geelani inspected the vehicles, equipment, and other facilities of Rescue 1122, noting the importance of their role in emergency situations, especially during floods and other disasters.
The Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of Rescue 1122, recognizing their crucial role in saving lives in emergency situations where access is limited. He emphasized the importance of timely response and assured the District Emergency Officer of the district administration’s full support in enhancing the services of Rescue 1122.
The event also featured demonstrations of bomb disposal, first aid, search and rescue, and firefighting techniques. The personnel showcased their skills in making forced entries using modern equipment and cutters, along with demonstrating the detonation of unexploded bombs and firefighting practices.
