Chinese Delegation Explores Academic Collaboration at Punjab University

Lahore, A delegation from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, comprising Tong Tao, Li Dongdong, and Ms. Ai Wanqiao, visited the Punjab University Pakistan Study Centre (PSC) today, engaging in discussions aimed at enhancing academic and research cooperation between the two countries.

According to University of the Punjab, the visit was hosted by the Director of the PSC, Prof. Dr. Naumana Kiran, who, along with Associate Professor Dr. Amjad Abbas Magsi and other faculty members, welcomed the guests. The event was also attended by Dr. Muhammad Hameed, Chairman of the Department of Archaeology, and students from the university.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation was briefed on the existing collaborations, particularly the establishment of the Institute of Belt and Road at the Pakistan Study Centre in association with Jiangsu Normal University, China. This initiative has already facilitated scholar and student exchanges, fostering a robust academic partnership.

The discussions highlighted the delegation’s keen interest in the activities and research projects undertaken by the PSC, especially those involving collaboration with Chinese institutions. Both parties explored opportunities to deepen their cooperation and expand their joint academic endeavors.
