The incident occurred in the 44th over of New Zealand’s innings when Dar was struck on her face while bowling.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the team’s physio assessed Dar’s condition following the incident and decided that she would not participate further in today’s match. This development comes as a blow to the Pakistan team, which is currently engaged in a crucial series.
In response to the unexpected situation, Sadaf Shamas was announced as Dar’s replacement. This substitution was approved by Trudy Anderson, the match referee for today’s game. Furthermore, Fatima Sana has stepped up to serve as the stand-in captain for the remainder of the match.
