According to Pakistan People’s Party, Chairman Bilawal, speaking in constituency NA-127 on Saturday, challenged the prevailing perception of Lahore and highlighted the city’s diverse population and its unmet needs. He stressed that the PPP, founded in Lahore and deeply rooted in its history, represents all societal strata and is dedicated to solving the people’s issues.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari outlined the PPP’s history in Lahore, recalling the city’s significance in the party’s formation and its role during the leadership of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He criticized the imposition of other political parties in the province by figures like General Zia and General Hameed Gul, reaffirming the PPP’s claim to Lahore.
In response to questions about the upcoming elections, Chairman Bilawal confirmed that the elections are scheduled for February 8, citing the Chief Justice’s affirmation of the date. He called for public support to address national issues and highlighted the PPP’s achievements during its 2008-2013 government. Bilawal criticized Shehbaz Sharif’s government for not representing a broader demographic, including the youth and laborers.
