Lahore, At a grand jalsa in Lahore, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a vast gathering, outlining his vision for Pakistan’s future amid current economic, social, and security challenges. He emphasized the PPP’s commitment to overcoming these crises, advocating for economic and social reforms to benefit the common people.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Bilawal, speaking to the crowd in Lahore, conveyed a message of hope and resilience. He highlighted the economic crisis facing Pakistan, marked by surging inflation, unemployment, and poverty, and underscored the PPP’s resolve to address these issues. He criticized the current political climate of division and hate, vowing that the PPP would end such politics.

The PPP Chairman expressed his personal commitment to contesting from Lahore, emphasizing the city’s symbolic importance as the heart of Pakistan. He recalled the city’s historical connection with the PPP, referencing the legacies of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Chairman Bilawal criticized the imposition of traditional politicians on Punjab, promising change and accusing previous governments of neglecting their commitments. He introduced the PPP’s ’10-point agenda,’ focusing on alleviating inflation, poverty, and unemployment. He proposed redistributing subsidies from the elite to the masses and devolving federal ministries to save and redirect funds to the needy.

The PPP leader promised to implement Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s vision of ‘Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan’ (food, clothing, and housing), aiming to build three million houses across the country, with ownership given to women. He also outlined plans to regularize temporary housing and provide free electricity to those burdened by bills.

Addressing various segments of society, Chairman Bilawal spoke of expanding the Benazir Income Support Programme, introducing interest-free loans for women, launching the ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ for farmers, and the ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ for laborers. He also discussed introducing a ‘Youth Card’ to assist young people with financial aid and skill development.

The PPP Chairman pledged to fulfill the unfinished missions of his ancestors and emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections. He invited workers from other parties, including PML-N and PTI, to join the PPP in their fight against divisive politics.
