Bahria University’s NIMA Karachi Seeks Qualified Maritime Researchers


Karachi, The National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), a constituent think tank of Bahria University, has put out a call for seasoned researchers in the maritime domain at its Karachi campus. With the goal of bolstering maritime research, NIMA seeks applicants who can undertake and contribute to projects that are pivotal to the maritime sector in Pakistan.



According to Bahria University, NIMA is looking for individuals with advanced degrees in Maritime (Ports and Shipping) Management, Maritime Trade and Logistics, Environmental Studies, or similar disciplines to fill the positions of Research Fellow and Research Associate. Prospective candidates must have a master’s degree (preferably Ph.D.) and a minimum of 10 years of experience for the Research Fellow role, while the Research Associate position requires a master’s degree and at least two years of research experience in academic or think tank settings.



Candidates who exhibit a strong analytical and academic ability, possess excellent writing and communication skills, and have a track record of successfully supervising and leading research projects will be preferred, particularly those with national or international publications.



Interested applicants are encouraged to send their detailed CVs, along with attested copies of testimonials, to the Deputy Director of NIMA by the specified deadline of 17 April 2024. The terms of employment offer a unique opportunity to engage with high-level research initiatives on a contract basis, initially set for three years, providing a competitive remuneration package and benefits.
