National Institute of Maritime Affairs Karachi Seeks Research Associate


Karachi, The National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), part of Bahria University, has announced a job opening for a Research Associate position at its Karachi campus. The think tank, which focuses on maritime affairs, is calling for applications from individuals with significant academic credentials in the maritime sector to contribute to ongoing research projects.



According to Bahria University, candidates with a minimum of 18 years of education in maritime affairs, studies, shipping and ports management, environmental studies, marine sciences, or any other related degree from an HEC-approved national or international university are encouraged to apply. Additionally, a sound research background is desired.



The terms of employment include a preference for candidates with at least two years of work or research experience in a wide range of maritime fields, such as climate change, port and shipping management, and maritime safety, among others. Moreover, those with national or international publications will be given precedence.



Interested applicants are instructed to send their brief CVs along with attested copies of testimonials to the Deputy Director at the address provided in the announcement by 17 April 2024. While only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews, no travel or daily allowances will be furnished for the interview process.
