Asifa Bhutto Zardari Promises a People-Friendly Government in Karachi Rally

Karachi, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, expressed confidence that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would triumph in the upcoming general elections on February 8, with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari set to become the Prime Minister.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asifa Bhutto Zardari visited the Lyari area of Karachi as part of the PPP’s nationwide election campaign. She received a warm welcome from the locals and, while addressing the public, emphasized the party’s commitment to eradicating poverty and establishing a government centered on the needs of the people. She highlighted the PPP’s achievements, including the provision of quality healthcare, free education, and the initiation of the Benteer Mazdoor Card in Sindh, promising its extension to other provinces.

Asifa Bhutto Zardari reiterated plans to regularize slums, granting ownership rights to residents, and providing 300 units of free electricity through solar power to the impoverished. She urged the people to vote for the PPP, envisioning Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the next Prime Minister, and stressed the importance of the vote in shaping Pakistan’s future.

The rally in Lyari, a stronghold of the PPP, saw enthusiastic participation from supporters, including a significant number of women. Asifa Bhutto Zardari, accompanied by PPP candidates for the National Assembly and Sindh Assembly, interacted with the crowd from outside her car, responding to their slogans. Notable leaders such as Sardar Nabil Gabol, Usman Hungoro, Yousuf Baloch, Salim Mandviwala, Malik Fayyaz, PPP Karachi Division President Saeed Ghani, and General Secretary Javed Naguri were also present.

The event demonstrated the strong support for the PPP in Karachi, particularly in Lyari, and underscored the party’s focus on addressing the needs of the poor and underprivileged.
