Islamabad, On the occasion of the martyrdom day of Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, former President of Pakistan and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, paid tribute to the late leader. He underscored her enduring mission for a free, independent Pakistan, with an empowered Parliament and the rule of the Constitution.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, the former President highlighted that eliminating poverty, unemployment, and economic misery in the country was at the heart of Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed’s vision, and fulfilling this mission remains a primary objective for the Pakistan People’s Party. Zardari commended Bhutto’s courage and resilience in facing dictators and extremist terrorists, stating that she steadfastly upheld the principles of resistance against terror.

Zardari further expressed optimism about the future, envisioning a Pakistan free from political, social, and economic exploitation, as envisaged by Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. He emphasized her belief in the prosperity of laborers and farmers as the cornerstone of a thriving Pakistan.
