Rawalkot: The University of Poonch, Rawalakot, has inaugurated its 8th International Conference, focusing on “Smart Agriculture Adaptable to Climate Change for Economic Stability and Food Security.” The two-day event has drawn agricultural experts from Canada, Turkey, China, and various regions of Pakistan, aiming to address the impacts of climate change on agriculture through advanced research and technology.
According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, The conference features a robust lineup of national and international experts, including keynote addresses from notable figures such as Prof. Dr. Dilnawaz Ahmed Gardizi and Turkish Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Kakmak. Discussions on the first day covered a broad spectrum of topics, including the impact of climate change on global agriculture, The integration of artificial intelligence in farming practices, and sustainable water usage.
The sessions also explored the relationship between climate change and pest dynamics, The role of government policies in promoting climate-smart agricultural practices, and the importance of community involvement and civic responsibility in fostering economic and environmental resilience.
