Chinese Firm Shows Interest in Investing in Pakistan’s Connectivity Projects

Islamabad: A Chinese company, Shandong Hi-Speed Group, has shown interest in investing in Pakistan's transport, logistics, and connectivity sectors. This development came to light during a meeting between the Chairman of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, Xu Xiang, and Pakistan's Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, Xu Xiang expressed the company's interest in contributing to the development of Pakistan's infrastructure. In response, Minister Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh assured the Chinese firm of comprehensive facilitation and institutional support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council and the Board of Investment. The discussions highlighted potential collaboration avenues aimed at enhancing Pakistan's connectivity landscape.
