Topi, The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute) and Mindstorm Studios, Pakistan’s leading mobile game developer, have formalized a partnership to strengthen the country’s game development capabilities. This collaboration was solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 28, 2024, focusing on cultivating skilled professionals for both local and global markets.
According to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, the agreement includes provisions for joint research projects, specialized training programs, and the establishment of state-of-the-art game development labs at the GIK Institute. These efforts are intended to align academic programs with the evolving demands of the game development industry, ensuring students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Prof. Dr. Zahid Halim and Prof. Dr. Fazal A. Khalid of GIK Institute, along with Mr. Faizan Faisal and Mr. Yaser Awan from Mindstorm Studios, led the signing ceremony, which was attended by senior officials from both institutions. The parties expressed a shared commitment to innovation and the professional growth of future game developers in Pakistan.
