Mardan, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan has officially opened the bidding process for the design, construction, and installation of a 200 KW on-grid photovoltaic (PV) solar system intended for both new and old academic blocks at the campus.
According to University of Engineering and Technology – Mardan, detailed bidding documents are available for purchase at the Directorate of Works, UET Mardan, with proposals due by July 9, 2024. The project, which aims to enhance the university’s sustainability measures, requires bidders to submit their proposals in two separate envelopes—one for technical specifications and the other for financial details. The technical proposals will be reviewed first on the same day, with financial proposals from technically qualified bidders considered at a later date.
A pre-bidding meeting is scheduled for June 28, 2024, to clarify project details and answer potential bidders’ questions. The initiative is part of a broader effort to integrate renewable energy solutions into the university’s infrastructure, aligning with national goals for increased energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint.
