Lahore, The University of the Punjab has revised its eligibility criteria for candidates seeking admission to ADP (Arts/Science/Commerce) and BS programs. This significant change now allows candidates holding a third division in their terminal degree to enroll, marking a shift aimed at widening educational opportunities.
According to University of the Punjab, this adjustment in the admission regulations was approved by the Syndicate on April 30, 2024, following recommendations from the Academic Council. The change applies to programs that are not governed by Professional Councils and is effective from the academic session of 2024.
The new policy underscores the university’s commitment to inclusivity and the belief in providing educational opportunities to a broader segment of students. This initiative is expected to particularly benefit those whose prior academic performances may have limited their access to higher education options in the university and its affiliated colleges.
