Courts should be avoided from being dragged into politics, says PDP Vice Chairman

Karachi, Pasban Democratic Party Vice Chairman Khalil Ahmad Thand emphasized that courts should remain apolitical and expressed concern over political pressures being placed on Chief Justice Faiz Isa, a figure he described as highly competent and independent.

According to Pasban Democratic Party, Thand criticized the efforts of political parties to influence judicial proceedings, describing such actions as detrimental to the integrity of the judiciary. He highlighted that the primary role of the judiciary is to uphold justice impartially and without succumbing to external pressures.

Thand argued that political parties should engage in legal battles through proper channels rather than attempting to sway court decisions. He stressed the importance of an independent judiciary for ensuring justice and voiced opposition to any campaigns against Chief Justice Isa. Thand called for a judicial process that adheres strictly to the constitution and laws, rejecting all forms of undue influence.

Further, the statement outlined the negative impact of political favoritism on the country’s progress, urging political parties to respect the judiciary’s autonomy and focus on upholding the constitution and law to advance national interests.
