Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore’s Department of Product and Industrial Design recently held a guest lecture focusing on Aerodynamic Design and the exploration of future study opportunities in design engineering. The event featured Mr. Waqar Jamil, a distinguished alumnus of the 2015 session, who shared his expertise and experiences in the field of design prototyping.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Jamil’s presentation included a video showcasing the evolution of various products from their initial stages to low-cost finished pieces, particularly those used for defense purposes. His session was aimed at giving students insights into the practical aspects of design prototyping and its relevance in today’s design landscape. He emphasized the importance of hands-on experience in prototyping techniques and their crucial role in the field of design engineering.
Furthermore, Mr. Jamil engaged in a discussion with students about the current job market for Design Engineers, encouraging them to consider pursuing higher education in Design Engineering. Jamshoro, The University of Sindh in Jamshoro has extended the deadline for the submission of sports certificates for candidates applying for bachelor degree programs under the sports quota for the academic year 2024. The new deadline is now set for January 25, 2024.
According to University of Sindh, Ajaved Ahmed Bhatti, the Director of Sports (Boys), announced the extension to accommodate candidates applying under the sports quota. The university has informed that all sports-related certificates, initially due earlier, can now be submitted to the Directorate of Sports by the revised deadline. This extension provides additional time for applicants to gather and submit their necessary documents.
Following the submission of these documents, the university will conduct a thorough investigation of the certificates for various sports. After this review, candidates will be called for trials as part of the selection process for admissions under the sports quota.
