Karachi, Asif Ali Zardari, the President of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) and former President of Pakistan, assured that the anticipated PPP government, expected after the forthcoming general elections, would focus on addressing the challenges faced by the people of Balochistan. He emphasized the party’s commitment to the development and progress of the region, underscoring the PPP’s history of fulfilling its promises.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, Zardari’s commitments made during a telephonic address to a gathering in Dera Bugti. He acknowledged the PPP’s understanding of Balochistan’s issues, ranging from healthcare to gas supply. The former president assured that the incoming PPP government would implement solutions to these problems and create employment and income opportunities for the people of Balochistan.
In the same meeting, former caretaker federal interior minister and PPP leader Sarfraz Bugti expressed confidence in the PPP’s potential to form the next government in Balochistan by securing a clear majority in the general elections scheduled for February 8. Bugti highlighted the PPP’s legacy of advocating for the rights and welfare of the poor and farmers. He reminded attendees that the Pakistan People’s Party is the heir of martyrs and reassured the families of martyrs that they are not isolated, as leaders like Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari are their heirs.
The public meeting in Dera Bugti was well-attended, with thousands of tribal members from the region and its surroundings participating. This event marks a significant moment in the PPP’s campaign ahead of the general elections, emphasizing their focus on the long-neglected issues in Balochistan and their commitment to addressing them.
