Islamabad, The leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), including former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has vehemently condemned a recent act of terrorism in Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which resulted in the martyrdom of police officers.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, President Zardari and Chairman Bilawal expressed their profound grief over the loss of life, particularly the police officers who were safeguarding volunteers of the polio eradication team. They honoured the commitment and bravery of the KP police and the polio workers, referring to them as heroes dedicated to protecting future generations from the disease. The PPP leaders labeled the perpetrators of such attacks as enemies of the nation and the country.
In their statement, President Zardari and Chairman Bilawal extended their heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families of the martyred officers and wished for a swift recovery of those injured in the attack.
This incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Pakistan in combating terrorism, especially in regions like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and highlights the risks faced by police and health workers in their duty to protect and serve the community.
