Lahore, The Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance (HCBF) hosted its 8th International Conference on Banking, Insurance and Business Management (CBIBM-23) on Thursday. The conference, held at the college premises, saw the presence of notable academics and a large number of students, focusing on the promotion of research culture in the fields of banking, insurance, and business management.
According to University of The Punjab, the event was graced by the Chairman of the Punjab Higher Education Commission, Prof Dr Shahid Munir, PU Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani, and other distinguished educators. Dr Shahid Munir, in his address, commended Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta and his team for their efforts in organizing the conference and underscored the importance of such events in fostering a research-oriented environment in educational institutions. Prof Dr Abdullah Khan Durrani emphasized the significant role PU HCBF students could play in the improvement of the country’s economy. He also highlighted how such conferences offer young scholars a platform to gain insights from the experiences and ideas of experts. Principal HCBF, Dr Ahmed Muneeb Mehta, welcomed the participants and shed light on the significance of research papers in academic growth. He mentioned the introduction of new programs and the establishment of a new academic block in the college, praising the dedication of teachers, staff, and students in organizing the conference.
