Turkish Parliament Speaker Discusses Palestine Issue with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer

Istanbul, Numan Kurtlamish, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, met with Sirajul Haq, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, in Istanbul to discuss the ongoing Palestine issue. The meeting highlighted Turkey’s efforts to forge a unified stance on Palestine’s liberation at the upcoming Islamic Summit Conference in Riyadh.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Speaker Kurtlamish emphasized that the entire Turkish Parliament is united on the Palestine issue and actively seeks the freedom of Jerusalem. He mentioned that the Turkish President is pursuing diplomatic methods to address the Palestine problem and has emerged as a significant voice on the global stage. The Speaker also noted the challenges posed by the Israeli lobby in Europe and mentioned that all options for resolving the Palestine issue are under consideration. He expressed admiration for the role of Jamaat-e-Islami in this context.

Sirajul Haq emphasized the need for practical measures and unity within the Ummah for Palestine’s liberation. Both parties agreed that Hamas’ struggle for Palestine’s freedom is legitimate and that the Palestinian people have the right to resist Israeli aggression.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Turkey and Jamaat-e-Islami to the Palestinian cause and the importance of unified efforts in the Islamic world to address this longstanding issue.
